Sampling is a great way to entice customers to want more! 

In store sampling

  • Offer product samples at your location.  This is a great way to call attention to a new product, a special offering or a sale.

  • Offer sampling at other locations.  Check with your local distributors/partners and find out how you can offer samples of your products at their location. 

  • Find out how and when you can provide samples to their sales staff.

Radio deejay sampling

  • Deliver samples to radio deejays when they are on the air.  This works especially well with food.  Be sure to check with the station ahead of time so you don’t show up at 5 am with your breakfast burrito and then  find out you can’t get in.

Direct mail sampling

  • Deliver samples to customers via direct mail.   

  • Deliver samples through the neighborhood newspaper

Door-to-door sampling

  • Hire inexpensive labor (maybe the local PTA) to deliver samples to residences in targeted zip codes.

  • Be sure to check on liability and insurance when using any volunteer  or other groups, and make sure your own policies are up to date.
